Mbappe scored twice, PSG is one round away from the Ligue 1 crown

Striker duo Kylian Mbappe and Dembele shined with a double goal to help Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) win 4-1 against home team Lorient in round 30 of Ligue 1.

As a guest at Lorient’s field in round 30 of Ligue 1, which took place in the early morning of April 25 (Vietnam time), PSG dominated the game as soon as the referee blew the opening whistle.

This is a match that the home team aims to win as one of the two teams in the relegation group. However, PSG’s superior class forced Lorient goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo to go into the net and pick up the ball in the 19th minute after Dembele’s decisive shot from outside the penalty area.

Just 3 minutes later, it was Mbappe’s turn to increase the score to 2-0 for the away team with a s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ful finish in the penalty area.

That was the situation in which left back Nuno Mendes made a low cross into the penalty area. Although the French striker missed the mark, he still hit the back of the net with his left foot and hit goalkeeper Mvogo. The score of 2-0 was maintained until the end of the first half.

Entering the second half, Mbappe received a pass on the left wing in the 60th minute and made a classy pass near the touchline before passing to Dembele in an empty position in front of the penalty area, easily scoring the ball into the home team’s net. .

However, in the 73rd minute, home team Lorient suddenly scored a goal to shorten the score to 1-3. From an attack on the left wing and the ball was thrown into the penalty area, striker Samba headed the ball with class, not giving goalkeeper Donnarumma a chance to block.

However, in the 90th minute, Mbappe sealed a 4-1 final victory for PSG with a familiar right-footed curling shot in the penalty area. This was Mbappe’s 43rd goal in all competitions this season, not to mention he also contributed 10 more assists.

This victory helps PSG continue to build a solid position at the top of the table with 69 points after 30 rounds, maintaining an 11-point gap with second-placed team Monaco. In the context of Ligue 1 with only 4 rounds remaining, it is likely that PSG will be crowned king in the match against Le Harve at Parc des Princes home field on April 28.
