Swift is resuming her Eras Tour on Thursday, May 9 in Paris, meaning she is deep in rehearsals if not already preparing to travel to France. People and Entertainment Tonight confirmed ahead of the Met Gala that Swift wouldn’t be going after Page Six ran a report claiming she could make an appearance.
Entertainment Tonight learned that she decided to skip the gala so she “can continue preparing for her Eras Tour.” People also reported that Swift would be “focusing on rehearsals and tour prep” rather than attending fashion’s big night and its after-parties.
Swift last attended the Met Gala in 2016. She was a co-chair of the event that year and wore a silver snakeskin Louis Vuitton minidress with her platinum bob.
