WEST HAM have made a sensational £60million DOUBLE BID for Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay.
The Hammers have finally sprung into life in this summer’s transfer market, first agreeing a £35m deal for Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez, who is expected to have his medical in London in the next 24 hours.

And the East Londoners are now awaiting a response from Manchester United for their audacious attempt to land both defender Maguire and midfielder McTominay for around £30m each.
The news also came on the day that Gianluca Scamacca confirmed his move away from the club, joining Serie A outfit Atalanta for £27m including-ons.
There has been immense tension at West Ham regarding incomings, with boss David Moyes and technical director Tim Steidten disagreeing over recruitment policy and strategy.
Owner David Sullivan has subsequently been forced to take a more hands-on approach in order to get deals over the line – and West Ham now look close to making their first signings of the window since Declan Rice’s £105m departure on July 15.
Moyes is a big admirer of the pair, having made the Manchester United defender one of his top priorities.
After having an initial £20m approach rejected this summer, SunSport understands the club have now improved on that bid to bring Maguire, 30, to East London.
West Ham are in talks over wages, which could prove a stumbling block.
An agreement is needed that works for all parties, including the Red Devils, following Maguire’s recent salary increase after their Champions League qualification.
It may mean United having to top up his wages in compensation.
Maguire is out of favour at Old Trafford under Erik ten Hag having recently been ᵴtriƥped of the captaincy and made just eight Premier League starts last season.
The central defender – who arrived in Manchester from Leicester for £80m in 2019 – will want to be playing first team football this season with next summer’s Euros approaching.
Moyes wants more depth at centre back to accommodate Kurt Zouma’s injury issues, and Maguire could form a good partnership with fellow ball-playing defender Nayef Aguerd.
West Ham have been in talks with United over McTominay, 26, for several weeks and could land a double swoop should an agreement be found with Maguire.
Scotland international McTominay has fallen down the pecking order at United following Mason Mount’s switch from Chelsea and Casemiro’s prominence in Ten Hag’s plans.
Moyes is desperate to add more faces before West Ham’s Premier League opener away at Bournemouth.
They have a tough run of games including Chelsea, Brighton, Manchester City and Liverpool in their first six outings.
