TAYLOR SWIFT HINTED AT ‘1989 (TAYLOR’S VERSION)’ WITH FIVE NEW OUTFITS ON THE ‘ERAS’ TOUR

Don’t say she didn’t warn you.

Just over a month after leaving Swifties in a literal “Lavender Haze” with the release of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” Taylor Swift decided it was time for a newer, blue-r era to be set upon us — but not without some very vibrant easter eggs scattered throughout the global superstar’s final stop on the U.S. leg of her “Eras” tour in Los Angeles on Aug. 9.

Though fans have been eagerly theorizing the release of “1989 (Taylor’s Version) for nearly two years (yes, that long), the artist’s last L.A. show coincidentally falling on the eighth month of the year’s ninth day (ahem, ’89) solidified for many that her first pop album would, in fact, be re-released by the end of the evening. Before she made the announcement, though, Swift offered the “Eras” crowd of over 70,000 attendees (not counting the thousands more watching via livestreams) five new blue outfits — the color associated with the “1989” album.

In what can only be described as a glittering, glamorous feast for the eyes, Swift debuted her third custom gown by designer duo Nicole + Felicia of the “Eras” tour during the “Speak Now” portion of the final L.A. show, resulting in booming screams from the audience, who knew exactly what this meant. The sparkling dress featured cascading strands of sequins, made up of silver and various shades of blue to create an almost water-like effect.

During the “Folklore” set, Swift appeared atop her usual onstage cabin, wearing a rhinestone-encrusted chiffon maxi dress, topped off with a flowing cape — the songwriter’s fifth “Folklore” costume of the “Eras” tour, all of which are custom Alberta Ferretti.

Swift has also worn three versions of a custom Roberto Cavalli skirt and top set — in orange, green and pink — throughout the tour. As it turns out, she was simply saving the turquoise adaptation of the look for the perfect moment.

The Swarovski-embellished outfit and matching custom Christian Louboutin booties were then covered up by another blue wrap dress, made by designer Jessica Jones, as Swift revealed the details of “1989 (Taylor’s Version).”

After a celebratory performance of “New Romantics,” Swift made her way into the “Midnights” era, changing into a Zuhair Murad bodysuit that appears to reference a Yousef Al Jasmi-designed costume from 2015’s “1989” tour.

To close out the three-and-a-half-hour-long performance, Swift sang “Karma” in a dark blue foil fringe jacket.

Though Wednesday marked the final stop of the first U.S. leg of the “Eras” tour, there’s plenty more Swift style to look forward to: She returns to the stage in Mexico on Aug. 24.
