After passing on their $22 million California hideaway last June, Hollywood power couple Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are selling off another home. This time around, the duo are departing Miami’s Bay Point neighbourhood near the city’s Biscayne Bay. The abode? A waterfront mansion on Island Road, spanning over 10,400 square feet, comprising six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, that they bought for $15.2 million last September, and are now putting on the market for approximately $25.4 million.
Originally constructed in 1980, the home was reportedly inspired by the modernism of Frank Lloyd Wright. Like their previous mansion in Encino, Turner and Jonas’s two-storey home boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and plenty of wooden furnishings, architectural elements to complement the natural surroundings. Inside, there’s no shortage of space. Guests of the home are greeted by its ceilings, which stretch up to ten metres high in places—the living room is a particular standout in this regard, a double-height space overlooked by a chandelier, and a wraparound balcony on the mansion’s second floor.
Sun also soaks the home’s kitchen and billiards room. The former space, which features a sizeable marble island, leads into a breakfast and dining nook. Turner and Jonas’ mansion also comes styled with a variety of travel memorabilia—an artwork featuring a Union Jack decorates the master bedroom, while the informal eating area centres on a landscape of Machu Picchu, over Thai-influenced drawers. Elsewhere in the home, amenities include a gym, spa and sauna, and a backyard pool.
