It was all because she didn’t know her crush would be the one to present her an award during the 2013 British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTA). Hathaway won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as – Fantine in Les Miserables, and George Clooney presented her with the award.

Hathaway said, “George Clooney makes me weak in the knees, so it was the Clooney factor tonight that threw me.” The Princess Diaries actress was happy to receive the award but forgot to hug Clooney when he presented her with the coveted prize. She continued, “My husband is a lucky charm in more ways than winning awards.”

Anne Hathaway, 40, was brutally honest about her experience filming Les Miserables. The mother of two reportedly lost 25 pounds in a very short time to portray her character. She said during a People magazine interview, “I didn’t know anything about nutrition. I taxed my body, and my brain bore the brunt of it for a while. I just felt very anxious and very lost at that time.”

When Anne Hathaway won the Oscar, she said it didn’t feel good. In fact, to the actress, it felt wrong that she was getting awarded for portraying so much pain. “It’s an obvious thing: you win an Oscar, and you’re supposed to be happy. I didn’t feel that way. I felt wrong that I was standing there in a gown that cost more than some people are going to see in their lifetime and winning an award for portraying pain that still felt very much a part of our collective experience as human beings.”

Playing the role affected Anne’s mental health, and she stated that she still hadn’t recovered by the time she won the prestigious award. “I felt very uncomfortable. I kind of lost my mind doing that movie, and it hadn’t come back yet.” Hathaway’s health also took some time to recover. “That weight loss was not a long-term good thing for my health, and it took a really long time to come back from it. And I was still really sick because of it.”
