Neymar Misses Penalty For Al Hilal With Club Legend Salem Al-Dawsari On The Pitch

Neymar missed the chance to score for Al Hilal as he failed to convert a penalty against Al Shabab on Friday.

Neymar, who joined the Saudi Pro League side from Paris Saint-Germain for £77 million during the summer, has endured a difficult start at his new team.

He’s yet to score since his big money move and was forced to deny reports of a dressing room bust-up with manager Jorge Jesus.

The Brazilian continued his bad form as he fluffed his lines from the spot against Al Shabab.

Al Hilal were awarded a penalty just before the break, with the Brazilian stepping up to take the spot-kick – not club legend Salem Al-Dawsari, who took a penalty earlier this campaign.

But Neymar failed to slot home from 12 yards as he hit the post, with Bono picking up the loose ball.

The 31-year-old, however, redeemed himself in the second-half as he delivered an inviting corner kick which was met by Kalidou Koulibaly, who headed home to open the scoring.

He then created another goal as he set up former Fulham star Aleksandar Mitrovic, who eventually scored from close range.

The 2-0 victory sees Al Hilal move above Al Ittihad to the top of the league, with 20 points on the board.
