LeBron James’ youngest son, Bryce James, to visit Ohio State this weekend

The James family will be back on Ohio State’s campus.

The Ohio State men’s basketball team has had a connection with LeBron James since the Ohio native entered the NBA two decades ago. While neither the Los Angeles Lakers star nor his son Bronny James — who is a freshman at USC — played for the Buckeyes, the world’s best basketball player has always represented the Scarlet and Gray. And the Buckeyes aren’t done recruiting the James family.

A James will be back in Columbus this weekend. LeBron’s younger son, Bryce James, will make an unofficial visit to Ohio State this weekend, Bucknuts has confirmed.

Bryce James is a three-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting class. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound James is the No. 20 shooting guard in the country and the No. 129 player in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Living in Sherman Oaks, California, James will play this season at Notre Dame High School after transferring from Sierra Canyon High School where he played with Bronny before he enrolled at USC. He now gets an opportunity to create his own legacy, attempting to step out of the shadow of his father and brother.

“I want Bryce to be Bryce,” Campbell Hall head coach David Grace told ESPN earlier this year. “Because that’s special, and I want him to get the most out of his experience here at Campbell Hall and grow. He’s going to have way more than just me helping, but I’m going to try to do my part. I understand where he’s coming from to a point. I’m not him. My family wasn’t in that spotlight, but I’ve been around the spotlight, and I can share my experiences, or I can just understand his experiences. That’s where I’ll grow as a coach.”

LeBron has a locker in the locker room at Value City Arena and has been in attendance for both Buckeye football and basketball games in the past. LeBron and Bronny made an official visit to Ohio State last September for the football game against Notre Dame, spending time with Buckeye head coach Chris Holtmann and the staff, before Bronny’s commitment to USC in May.
