Brilliant 16-year-old girl graduates high school with 4.60GPA, wins $1.7m scholarship to 50 US universities

A brilliant young girl named Tytiana Smith has earned 1.7 million dollars worth of scholarship offers to 49 different universities after graduating from Lafayette High School, Alabama in the United States with an outstanding 4.60 cumulative grade point.

Tytianna Smith graduated from Lafayette High School, Alabama in the United States. Her excellent performance earned her 1.7 million dollars worth of scholarships to 49 universities and colleges across the United States.

Tytianna graduated with a 4.6 Grade Point average with the hope of getting accepted to Stanford University. However, she did not get admitted to Stanford University but was accepted to the other 49 other universities she applied to.

She told BOTWC that though she could have accepted her nonadmission to Stanford University as defeat, instead she took it as God’s way of leading her to the right college she was destined to attend.

Tytianna said while sending out acceptance letters, she was trying to decide between continuing her education at a historically Black college or university (HBCU) or a predominately white institution (PWI).

She added that after seeing that she was not accepted by her first choice, she decided to settle with Norfolk University, a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).

“I wanted both for different reasons but was unsure what was right for me. I follow God and I don’t care what anyone says. I thought he was leading me to Stanford but I’m confident the final destination was Norfolk and Stanford was just a part of the journey,” she said.
