Kylian Mbappe is being represented by family members at the present time. However, this could cause problems when negotiating a transfer to Spain.

Mbappe must fire his mother if he wants to join Real Madrid

Mbappe is being linked with a move to Real Madrid because he has not yet signed a new contract with PSG. Mbappe’s current contract in France will expire in the summer of 2024.

Marca newspaper confirmed that Mbappe needs to fire his mother if he wants to negotiate a move to the Bernabeu. FIFA recently introduced a rule that transfers and contracts can only be discussed by licensed representatives. Ms. Fayza Lamari, Mbappe’s mother, is not on FIFA’s list of licensed representatives. Therefore, she cannot officially represent any player.

Ms. Lamari will not have the relevant certifications before May 2024 and faces the risk of being fined if she continues to represent her son.

However, there are some loopholes that can be exploited when football teams in Germany and England are temporarily not required to apply FIFA regulations. This means that Mbappe can move to the Bundesliga or Premier League if he wants to keep his mother as a representative to negotiate with other clubs.

After the controversy in the summer transfer window, Mbappe stayed at PSG and was still allowed to play. However, the future of the French player is still undecided.
