Portuguese sporting director Jose Boto believes Chelsea have one player who can be impossible to stop at times.
Chelsea‘s current batch of attackers are quite talented, even if they do not score all of the time, and Jose Boto has been speaking to Tuttomercatoweb about one of them.
The likes of Raheem Sterling, Cole Palmer and Mykhailo Mudryk all bring something to the table.
Palmer has really impressed this season following his move from Manchester City. He already has four goals for his new club, albeit all from the spot. He has been a great signing for Chelsea so far, though the Blues did look at Jeremy Doku before landing him.
Chelsea winger impossible to stop
Boto thinks Mudryk’s pace makes him unstoppable at times.
Discussing the 22-year-old in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb, the former Shakhtar Donetsk sporting director said: “Mudryk is a player who has his technique and his attitude as his best attributes. He is also fast, and sometimes, when he sets off at speed, it really is impossible to stop him. At the moment, he is not going through his best moment because the expectations of his club are very high.
“The level of Chelsea is very high, but it’s normal. He has to be patient, keep working and remember that he is still young. He can do incredible things in his career.”
Mykhailo Mudryk needs to start adding goals to his game
There is no doubt that Mudryk is one of the quickest players in the Premier League and his pace can be such a useful weapon for Chelsea.
However, the Ukrainian needs end product to start going with that now. In his defence, it is an area of his game that has improved.
Mudryk has already scored twice this season after failing to find the back of the net at all for Chelsea last term.
Still, Mauricio Pochettino will be expecting much more and has already made that clear.
Mudryk is, of course, just 22 years of age. It is hardly a surprise that he is not the finished article. We think his final ball, that last action in the final third, will get better, especially if he continues to work under a coach as good as Pochettino.
The Ukraine international will now be hoping to start Chelsea’s next game, which is a Premier League clash against Newcastle United.
