Mbappe dreams of winning EURO and the Golden Ball, revealing when he debuted for Real Madrid

Mbappe does not hide his ambition to win prestigious individual and team titles with the French team.

Recently, striker Kylian Mbappe had an interview with CNN and BeIN Sport about the EURO 2024 campaign with the French team . According to the 25-year-old striker, he wants to put all his effort into the tournament because EURO is the only title he lacks at the national team level, after the World Cup and UEFA Nations League championships:

Mbappe is determined to win EURO and win the Golden Ball

“I have to be honest that I want to win the EURO. I won the World Cup, the Nations League, so this is the only title that reminds me after doing everything for the national team.”

At 2:00 a.m. on June 18, the French team will enter the group stage opening match against the Austrian team. Mbappe pointed out the importance of this match to himself, the team and the home fans: “I want to win in the opening match. As captain, the match is really important to me, to the country, the fans and we want them to be proud of the whole team.”

At EURO 2020, Mbappe and the French team soon stopped in the eighth round against Switzerland after a tense penalty shootout. Therefore, the 25-year-old striker is determined to make his mark in the second time participating in Europe’s leading arena at the team level: “In 2021, EURO is held in many countries so everything is very strange. And now Now, I want to leave my mark on the tournament.”

Also in the interview, Mbappe did not forget to talk about his goal of winning the Golden Ball. Due to PSG’s unsuccessful performance in the 2023/24 Champions League, the 25-year-old star only has hope for EURO to be able to compete for the most prestigious individual title in football with strong candidates such as Jude Bellingham and Vinicius. Jr.

“The Golden Ball is still my goal. Since I was a 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, I always wanted to become the best player in the world. I want to continue to improve but never lose the joy of playing football,” Mbappe declared. .

Revealing when Mbappe officially debuted for Real Madrid

On June 4, Real Madrid confirmed the successful recruitment of Mbappe on a free transfer. However, in the context of the approaching EURO, the French striker has not been able to officially debut for the “Royal Football Team”.

According to writer Fabrice Hawkins, Mbappe’s debut ceremony in front of Real Madrid fans at the Bernabeu Stadium will take place on July 16 (July 17 according to Vietnam time), just 2 days after the EURO final. This means Mbappe does not have much time to rest if the French team reaches the final.
