Taylor Swift offered the owner of her favourite London kebab shop a VIP ticket to one of the Wembley Stadium dates on her Eras tour – but he turned it down.
The owner, whose name is Ahmed Khan, claimed he was understaffed and therefore too busy working to be able to attend Taylor’s show.
Taylor was introduced to the north London kebab shop, Kentish Delight, by her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, who is from Tufnell Park.
Due to her love of the fast food venue, Taylor’s team reached out to Ahmed to see if he wanted to come to one of the concerts on the tour.
However, Ahmed told the Sun that he had to turn it down, adding: ‘She first came in before the pandemic with Joe. He knew we had the best kebabs so wanted to show Taylor.

‘It did not feel like she was a big celebrity. She was very down to earth and spoke to everyone with respect.’
Kentish Delight featured in the music video to her 2017 song End Game and she is said to have assured Ahmed she will film another video soon.
Last week, Tayor revisited the takeaway stop as she placed a huge order for her tour crew, which included 45 large chicken doner kebabs.
She made sure her and her entourage don’t go hungry as she prepared to perform eight sold out shows in the capital across the summer.
The singer publicly showed her love for Kentish Delight after famously featuring it in the music video for End Game, which was released back in 2017.
A source told The Sun: ‘They’ll be collected by someone from her team on the night.
‘It’s a big order but the kebab house can handle it. Taylor adds garlic sauce to hers, as well as heaps of salad.’
Taylor reportedly visited the joint with her ex-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, for a cheeky takeaway as well as filming her music video there.
Last July, Taylor Swift fan Emily Talbut shared a TikTok as she visited the establishment.
The food spot proudly shows off its connection to the pop icon with a selfie taken by the singer taped to the window, along with a ‘Swift Kebab’ poster showing Taylor in the joint on multiple different occasions.
Taylor has clearly got good taste; a new survey of Amazon’s 75,000 diverse workforce for their Chatterbox series saw kebabs top the poll when finding the most popular dish among the teams taking part at Euro 2024.
The pop princess also cemented her love for the UK with a Greggs sausage roll van ahead of her first sell-out Eras tour show in Edinburgh earlier this month.
And much to the delight of the capacity crowd in the Scottish capital, she even had a van from the much-loved British bakery chain parked outside the Murrayfield Stadium.
The blue food truck, complete with glitter, featured the lyrics ‘Flake It Off’ across the back – a play on her hit track, Shake It Off.

‘This is our place, we make the rolls,’ was also seen etched on the side, a fun take on 2019’s Lover.
She also reportedly placed a huge order of sausage rolls, steak bakes and donuts for her crew ahead of the show.
Last week Taylor choked back tears after fans chanted her name during her final gig in Liverpool on Saturday, following ex-boyfriend of six years Joe Alwyn finally breaking his silence on their split.
Mid way through the show the American superstar wore a flowing red dress to perform Champagne Problems before before becoming visibly overwhelmed by the 60K audience’s response at Anfield Stadium.
After performing the song, which she wrote with ex Joe on her 2020 album Evermore, the crowd chanted her name and Taylor removed her ear piece and so she could fully appreciate the moment.
Saying: ‘It’s genuinely such an honour to play for a crowd like this, that you would do something that that for us’.
Before shouting: ‘I love you so much, Liverpool, thank you!’.
Taylor, who marked her 100th performance of the tour this week, also thrilled fans with another edition of Surprise Songs, where she picks songs to sing acoustically.
She performed a mash up of Carolina and No Body No Crime and also a mashup of The Manuscript and Red.
