The house was sold through a bidding auction at a Baltimore Circuit Court on Thursday morning.
The bidder’s real estate agent, Sam Sheibani, told The Baltimore Sun that the buyer is a real estate developer and local businessman.
The buyer’s identity has yet to be revealed, but Sheibani told the publication that it’s unclear whether he’ll live in the home.
“It is an iconic property in Baltimore,” Sheibani said.
“We were very interested in getting it, obviously not under the circumstances that it’s being sold, from whom it’s being sold.”
Spacey was charged with nine charges of 𝓈ℯ𝓍ual assault based on allegations from four different men over 20 years.
He was acquitted in a London court last July.
Spacey experienced a significant career setback due to the case and revealed the extent of its impact in a recent interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored.
He admitted during the interview that he was broke and owed millions in legal fees.
Spacey said his Baltimore home was in foreclosure and would be auctioned at a fire sale.
“I’m not quite sure where I’m going to live now,” Spacey told Morgan.
Following Spacey’s role in House of Cards, the actor’s work has been few and far between.
Multiple sources told The Hollywood Reporter after his trial that entertainment executives did not want to hire Spacey despite the acquittal.
BARGAIN BUY
The buyer purchased Spacey’s home for $3.24 million, which was $2.36 million less than what it sold for in 2017.

The suggested opening bid for the unit was $1.5 million, and bidders were required to attend the auction in person.
The Baltimore Sun reported that at least five people attended the auction.
Alex Cooper Auctioneers hosted the bidding.
Vice President Paul Cooper told The Baltimore Sun, “All that counts is, it sold. That’s all that counts in my book.”
Another attendee who was at the auction to bid on other properties told the publication she expected the home to sell for a low price.
“The people that come here knew it was Kevin Spacey’s home,” she said.
