Despite being the best basketball player in the NBA today, LeBron James never tells his 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren about his basketball career.

At Nike’s “Own the Game” exhibition at the 2019 NBA All-Star Game, LeBron James had a chat with fans and revealed many interesting things about his life. In particular, LeBron James shared that he never talks about his NBA career with his 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.

“I never tell my kids much about my career. For me, it’s like second nature as a family man. As a father, I just try to teach them about the lessons, the goals, and the things that they have to take for themselves in life.

“I can give them the recipe. Their moms, grandmas, grandpas can do the same thing. But at the end of the day, they have to walk their own path. My kids have to decide what’s best for them,” LeBron James told fans at The Mint Museum Uptown, Charlotte.

Obviously, LeBron James does not want his success to affect the independence of his three 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., Bryce and Zhuri. Bronny is currently a young player who is considered to have great potential. Although only 14 years old, Bronny has received an athletic scholarship offer from the prestigious Duke University.

Remember, LeBron James himself once shared that he regretted naming his eldest son after him. He said that it had unintentionally created a heavy pressure on his son’s shoulders. LeBron James wants his son to be free to choose his own path and not pursue basketball just because he is LeBron James’ son. That is the LeBron James family’s method of raising 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.
