Tiger Woods turned 49 on December 30, 2024! It’s hard to believe he’s just a year away from being eligible for the PGA Tour Champions. We are not sure as to what Big Cat did for his 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡day, but his son Charlie played some golf. NUCLR Golf reported that their team “had the pleasure of spending some time with Charlie Woods today on the range.”
They continued, “Couldn’t have been a nicer kid. Absolutely rips it too.” Interestingly, according to the Nuclrgolf team, “This was his first time using a Long Drive setup, and he was carrying it over 300 yards (easily)… at 15 years old!” The young spirit has zeal and fire inside him just as much as his father. The 15-year-old has a speed more than the world no. 1 Scottie Scheffler, and surprisingly, he is still a junior player.
Charlie Woods impressed Tiger Woods with an ace
He aced the par-3 fourth hole at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in the final round, knocking it in from an impressive 175 yards with a 7-iron! “It was a perfect 7-iron, so I just kind of hit it with a little cut,” Charlie said shortly after the shot. He laughed and added, “I didn’t think it went in. I don’t believe anybody until I go up there and see it.” Now, the golfing world has a lot of expectations from Jr. Woods, but shockingly, Tiger Woods does not think the same.
During the PNC Championship, the 82x PGA Tour champion said, “Yes, he’s my son. He’s going to have the last name, and he’s going to be part of the sport.” But he quickly added, “I just want him to be himself and just be your own person.” It’s such a refreshing and realistic approach—what parent wouldn’t want that for their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥?
