Messi ‘promises’ to help Inter Miami’s rival make a lot of money

Chicago Fire Club hopes to earn a record amount in the match against Inter Miami of superstar Lionel Messi at the American Professional Football League (MLS).

According to the schedule, Inter Miami will be the guest of Chicago Fire at MLS on October 5, 2023 at Soldier Field (capacity 61,500 people) and until now, tickets have been sold out.

Tickets to the Chicago Fire – Inter Miami match are as expensive as hot cakes thanks to the attraction of Lionel Messi. The members of the Chicago Fire Club are eagerly awaiting the upcoming match against owner Beckham’s team.

Chicago Fire look forward to the Inter Miami confrontation because they can collect a lot of money. According to The Athletic, the Chicago Fire hopes to make $7 million to $10 million in revenue in the match against Inter Miami. This is more money than all of their home games combined this season.

Not only the Chicago Fire, but every rival of Inter Miami in the MLS also made a lot of money from matches with co-president David Beckham’s team. And yet, Inter Miami’s performance has improved since Messi’s arrival.

The proof is that in the last 2 matches Messi participated, Inter Miami won both in the Leagues Cup. Before that, without Messi, they spent more than 2 months with 11 draws and losses in the MLS and Leagues Cup. Messi alone scored 3 goals and had 1 assist.

At this time, Inter Miami emerged as the No. 1 candidate for the Leagues Cup championship. This is the tournament where Becks hopes Inter Miami will win the first trophy in its history since its founding in 2018.

Besides, according to Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas, Lionel Messi will have a farewell match against Barcelona at Camp Nou, although there will be no chance of him returning to his old club: “I don’t know. it’s going to be a friendly match or a tribute game they have a Gamper Trophy being held in the summer there will be some time like that, hopefully when the new Camp Nou opens, because of their stadium there won’t be playing for the next year and a half, hopefully Lionel Messi can say goodbye properly.”

However, Mas has flatly ruled out the possibility of Messi returning to his old team on loan. “It doesn’t require Messi to play for Barcelona. He won’t be on loan there. That won’t happen,” Mas quickly refuted. “Yes, he deserves a proper goodbye. Yes, I will do everything in my power to facilitate and help him do it.”
