NFL players have voted, and they say Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is the league’s very best.
The final 10 players in the NFL’s Top 100 list was revealed Monday night, and it included three Chiefs. Defensive tackle Chris Jones was ranked 10th, tight end Travis Kelce was No. 5, and Mahomes was first overall.
The Top 100 is voted on by NFL players.
Mahomes reclaimed the top spot, which he held in 2021. Last year, now retired quarterback Tom Brady was ranked first while Mahomes was No. 8.

Over the past calendar year, Mahomes has won an NFL MVP award, helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl LVII, was the Super Bowl MVP and now is ranked by his peers as the best player in the NFL.
During the 2022 season, Mahomes completed 67.1% of his passes for 5,250 yards with 41 touchdown throws.
Two more in top 10
Jones, who is holding out for a new contract, wasn’t happy to be outside the top five after collecting 15 1/2 sacks a year ago.

Jones finished one spot ahead of Rams star Aaron Donald in the NFL’s Top 100.
Kelce moved up five spots from the 2022 list to No. 5 after being named an All-Pro for the fourth time.

Kelce has had 1,000 or more receiving yards in seven consecutive seasons, a record for a tight end. He also went over 10,000 career receiving yards a year ago.
