Does this prove the Dake curse is actually true?
Los Angeles Angels made the decision to not trade Japanes phenom Shohei Ohtani during the trade deadline, which came a week ago. This decision effectively prevented the Angels star from moving to a team that would give him a chance to make the playoffs. Granted, the team had a feeling they could actually make the post-season but recent results are making that increasingly impossible. For the team’s fans, the poor run started to materialize right after Drake appeared wearing a Shohei Ohtani jersey in public. Clearly, the rapper is a major Ohtani fan as any person would be. But he wore this jersey knowing fans consider him bad luck for the teams he supports. If you don’t believe this theory, we need to watch the numbers.

Shohei Ohtani’s strange poor run with the Angels
Ever since Drake showed up in publilc wearing Shohei Ohtani’s jersey, Los Angeles Angels have los a total of 7 games in a row. Ohtani has gone 2-12 with 7Ks and 0RBI since that happened. That is highly unusual for arguably the best two-way player in modern baseball history. Drake is already too famous for his unssuccessful bets and support for teams that lose. In combat sports, it is more of the same as Drake has lost millions of dollars betting on the wrong fighter. Last weekend, he lost $250,000 betting on Nate Diaz. There is a chance Drake probably had a feeling he would lose this bet but there is no confirmation of that.

Amid this recent bad luck for the Angels, Shohei Ohtani is finally getting to realize he may not only not make the playoffs this season. If the bad streak continues, he may not even reach Aaron Judge’s home run record from last season. Currently, Ohtani sits at 40 homers but the Angels still have 48 games left in the regular season. Later on Tuesday, they face the San Francisco Giants in the second of a three-game series. Hopefully, this Darke Curse is not real and Phtani can at least get his chance to break Aaron Judge’s record. Can Ohtani at least make the MLB HR record or is the Drake Curse also going to affect that?
The Angels were leading 3-2 entering the 9th and proceeded to give up 6 runs in the top of the 9th and go down 1-2-3 with 3 K’s in the bottom to lose 8-3.
They have lost 7 straight and are 8 games out of a wild card spot.
No words.
