The Phoenix Suns, according to Kevin Garnett, are Devin Booker’s rather than Kevin Durant’s team

Garnett’s bold claim highlights the shifting dynamics in Phoenix and Durant’s influence.

  • Booker has been the Suns’ leader for a long time
  • Due to that, KG says that the Suns are actually Booker’s team and not Durant’s
  • It will be interesting to see how the dynamics work out, especially with Bradley Beal on the squad

NBA icon Kevin Garnett has boldly asserted that the Phoenix Suns’ leadership mantle rests squarely on the shoulders of Devin Booker, brushing aside the star power of Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. Garnett’s remarks shed light on the evolving dynamics within the Suns’ roster and their pursuit of championship glory.

During a discussion with fellow Hall of Famer Paul Pierce on a recent episode of Ticket and The Truth, Garnett left no room for doubt:

“I don’t think the responsibility is on KD. I think this is Booker’s team. This is definitely Booker’s team. Hell yeah. This is Booker’s team and this is everybody in the cast coming to support him. That’s straight up.”

“KD ain’t trippin’. Guess what, they double Booker? You’re going to leave KD? You’re not leaving KD. KD want that.”

Kevin Garnett’s call for Kevin Durant to explore off-ball play echoes a growing trend in the league. He emphasized the importance of diversifying playmaking and offering different looks to opposing defenses.

As the Suns gear up for a new season with a bucketload of talent, Garnett’s remarks provide a fresh perspective on team dynamics and player roles.

Kevin Durant Says Cannabis Use Is Profound In The NBA

NBA superstar Kevin Durant has openly acknowledged the prevalence of cannabis consumption among basketball players in the league. Durant’s remarks shed light on the changing attitudes and policies surrounding cannabis use within the NBA, reflecting a broader shift in professional sports.

During an interview, Durant shared that even the NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, could smell cannabis on him during a meeting where Durant lobbied to end the league’s ban on the drug:

“He smelled it when I walked in, so I didn’t really have to say much, you know what I’m saying?”

The 34-year-old forward for the Phoenix Suns emphasized that cannabis consumption has become commonplace within the league, comparing it to wine consumption. Durant’s comments reflect a growing acceptance of cannabis use as part of professional athletes’ lifestyles, challenging longstanding stereotypes.

The NBA recently marked a significant shift in its stance on cannabis, with the league and the NBPA signing a new collective bargaining agreement that removed cannabis from the list of banned substances. This policy change aligns with evolving societal views on cannabis and its potential benefits.
