“Not the Drake Curse” : Rocking Rocking Nike Book 1s, Kevin Durant Megafan Makes Massive Announcement in Phoenix, Leaving Suns Fans Scared

The Canadian rapper Drake has been on three-month-long music tour across the country. During his tour, he surprised the hoops community when the NBA stars featured on the big screen. Notably, superstars like Stephen Curry and LeBron James attended his concerts. However, in the recently concluded concert at Glendale, Arizona, he instilled fear in the minds of Phoenix Suns fans with his massive announcement. Following the announcement, fans took to social media expressed their fear for Kevin Durant and his men.

On the other hand, Drake, who is a big Toronto Raptors fan, is also a KD fan. Even though the duo had salty moments in the past, they continued to have a close relationship with each other. Notably, once Durant took a dig at Drake during post-game press interview when he tried to interrupt him. However, it didn’t affect their friendship, as their social media interactions stand tall as proof.

During the recent concert at Glendale, a city near to Phoenix, Drake surprised his fans with a big announcement. While some fans expressed their excitement immediately, the rest took to social media to express their fear. Notably, it reminded fans of the infamous Drake curse. The God’s Plan sensation has an infamous track record in the sporting world. Whenever he extended his support to any sporting team, it had either crash out of the tournament or lost the finals. For instance, he revealed that he placed his bets on the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2023 Superbowl and the rest is history.

Following that, he announced that he would stay in Phoenix. He said, “I told him when the tour is over… I’m living in Phoenix for like a month or two. Come see my brothers hoop.” He also gave a shout out to Devin Booker as he sported his sneaker, Nike Book 1s. 

While the fans seemed to take Drake’s statement with rousing cheer, it didn’t end well with some fans.

After the show, the video of Drake announcement surfaced in social media, garnering a lot of views. In response to the video, fans swarmed the comments expressing their fear. One user said, “Not the Drake Curse.” 

While some fans expressed their fear, some loyal Drake fans welcomed his decision.

Whatever said and done, the Suns have an amazing lineup on paper. Fans have to wait to witness whether the Drake curse affects their team.
