What Chelsea Players Are Now Being Told To Do By Pochettino On Their Recovery Days

Chelsea’s players are still being told to do fitness work on their recovery days.

That is according to a report from The Daily Mail.

They explain that Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is still enforcing his group of players to do fitness on their scheduled days off.

In fact, the report says that some parts of training have been ‘likened to being beasted in an army camp’ due to the high physical demands.

If you examine Pochettino’s previous teams, they’ve all been extremely fit. The Argentine boss has a reputation of working his players very hard, which is something it sounds like he’s implemented at Stamford Bridge.

We want Chelsea to be the fittest and strongest team in the Premier League, but at what cost does it take to get there?

We just hope that there’s no link between this and the serious injury pile up we’re suffering this campaign.

In fairness, the long injury list is something the club has suffered with for a couple of years now.

A positive piece of news on the injury front lately is the return of Armando Broja from a long-term layout with a knee problem.

The striker made his comeback in the weekend’s defeat to Aston Villa, but Pochettino has confirmed he’s not ready to start Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup tie at home to Brighton.
