Lionel Messi finalizes the time to leave Inter Miami, determining his future destination

Although Lionel Messi has only joined Inter Miami for two months, Lionel Messi already has his mind set on his future when choosing where to end his career.

Lionel Messi has made a big impact after just two months playing for Inter Miami. He helped this team rise from the bottom of the rankings to become a new force in American football . After 12 appearances for Inter Miami, El Pulga scored 11 goals and had 5 assists.

However, the Argentine superstar does not see Inter Miami as his final stop. According to El Nacional newspaper, superstar number 10 intends to leave Inter Miami after his contract expires in 2025.

After that, Messi will return to his 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥hood club Newell’s Old Boys before ending his career here. In the past, El Pulga spent 6 years with Newell’s Old Boys before moving to Barcelona’s La Masia training facility in 2000.

It can be said that Newell’s Old Boys is the launching pad for Messi’s talent to rise. However, the Argentine superstar has not yet fulfilled his wish to play for the first team of Newell’s Old Boys to fight in the Argentine championship. After a period of great success in Europe, Messi wants to fulfill this wish before retiring.

During his time with Inter Miami, Messi helped the club win the Leagues Cup championship. Recently, he missed an appointment and could not play in the final match of the US National Cup. In the end, El Pulga sadly saw Inter Miami lose to Houston Dynamo and lose their second consecutive title.

After the match, coach Tata Martino admitted the reason for keeping Messi on the bench: “Obviously, letting Messi play was an imprudent decision. We cannot risk his health.

But surely, Messi will return before the season ends. We will consult with the team of doctors about Messi’s condition before making a final decision.”
