Chelsea plan talks with player who’s performances they are happy with

Most Chelsea players in the squad at the moment are on long contracts with that being the way of the new club owners.

Any new players signed must agree to a long stay at the club and it is generally the same for players signing new contract extensions as well.

There aren’t many players in the current squad who have short deals left and perhaps the only real ones in the first team squad right now is Ian Maatsen and Conor Gallagher.

Maatsen’s contract actually runs out next summer, and Gallagher’s runs out in the summer of 2025.

And according to The Daily Mail this week, Chelsea are planning talks with Conor Gallagher over his future, as his current contract expires in 2025. They will sit down and see what is best for both parties. Chelsea are happy with his performances this season.

Gallagher has been a consistent starter for Mauricio Pochettino, as he was for previous managers Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, and Frank Lampard.
