Jaw Dropping NFL Players’ Houses & Cars

Fresh contracts that average a cool, twenty million dollars annually, often drive American pro-football athletes to high-octane spending that can be difficult to contain down the road. Swank mansions, fashionable swimming pools, and luxury cars lined up in a large garage as though before a line of scrimmage, are often viewed as symbolic of the highly profitable, yet extremely risky lives they lead.

Carson Palmer – Del Mar, Estimated $25 Million

His impressive NFL resume earned him millions of dollars that led to his real estate investments, like this $2.5 million property sitting in Aldie, Virginia.  Robert’s mansion boasts 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, a wine cellar, an entertainment room, a spa, and a huge golf course. But the highlight of the place might be the living room, where photographs of his heydays are set, along with his Heisman Trophy.

Antonio Brown – Rolls-Royce Phantom, Estimated $500K

The wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers knows how to express his feelings in style. He loves his mansion, that is reportedly worth $6.6 million, but the main vessel for expressing his pride is literally in his ride, that is reportedly valued at $500k.

Antonio Brown first landed his contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2010, and he hasn’t switched teams yet, nor does he seem to be considering it. You can tell. This is where “Beast Mode” sits in silence at certain times of the day.

Ndamukong Suh – Fort Lauderdale, Estimated $6.5 Million

Ndamukong Suh has become one of the most decorated football players since his college years. The nose tackle for the Los Angeles Rams happily owns a sprawling 11,142 square foot house in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that might just be the envy of the neighborhood.

Alamy Stock Photo

The magnificent four-story home offers dreamy features, such as 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, an elevator, and a home theater that can cater to 20 people. Indeed, Forte can be a good host of big occasions in his huge house. It certainly has enough room, although he still feels the need to add more.

But the real deal about Cam Newton is when he goes out to drive his 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Cutlass – a combination of gold and black colors. The interior is fit for a king, seats riddled with diamond stitches. He loves to customize his car, and it is safe to say it will undergo some more upgrades despite all the improvements already made to it. Eli Manning –Quogue, Estimated $8.5 Million

Perhaps Alfred Morris and Eli Manning are two of a kind. Both their NFL careers have propelled them to earn millions of dollars, but unlike most of their peers they prefer to lead a relatively simple lifestyle. This bodes well for a future beyond football, buttressed by a fat bank account.

Instead of splurging his hard-earned money with a huge collection of luxury cars, Manning decided to purchase an Escalade Hybrid for $74,500, which isn’t bad at all. This allowed him to maximize his investment by turning to real estate instead in Quogue, South Hamptons for $8.5 million. The value of this beachfront property is only expected to increase, with its peaceful view and direct pathway down the shore.

Drew Brees – Bugatti Veyron, Estimated $2.2 Million

Drew Brees’ meteoric career in the NFL as quarterback for the New Orleans Saints has fueled his desire for fast cars. He likes to use them to the maximum, too, to the chagrin of local law enforcement.

Out of the five cars that he owns, the ultra-lux Bugatti Veyron is his most expensive one, with a price tag of a cool $2.2 million. He’s also not shy about revving those engines, despite a previous car accident he should be mighty grateful for surviving. Constantly risking it while in the game as well as off the field, if danger can be an addiction for some people, this certainly serves as proof.

Joe Flacco – Corvette Stingray, Estimated $70K

When Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback Joe Flacco was named as the Super Bowl’s Most Valuable Player in 2013, he deserved nothing less for his devotion to training and commitment to his team.

Flacco reportedly had to pay for the taxes on this vehicle, which he didn’t mind doing, considering not only its monetary value but the warm memories of a great season.

Ryan Tannehill – Fort Lauderdale, Estimated $4.3 Million

With the stacks of money involved in building a career in the National Football League, it would be wise for athletes to hire financial advisers and managers. They make sure these affluent athletes do not lose control over their money and that their future remains secure.

Take it from Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who brags about his mesmerizing waterfront home in Fort Lauderdale. Tannehill’s 5,480 square foot mansion includes 4 bedrooms, 5 baths, a home gym, a huge pool, and a cozy guesthouse that has an estimated value of $4.3 million. Despite the splurge, he knows he’s not overspending most of the time.

Ezekiel Elliott – Corvette Stingray, Estimated $60K

The Dallas Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliott is beyond grateful to finally make it to the big league, but he isn’t the type to forget his roots.

Thrilled for signing his rookie contract, Elliot’s first act wasn’t to go shopping for himself, although we all know he eventually would. Humble and loving, the first thing that popped into his mind when he got his millions was to reach out to the people who had reared him to become the man he is now: his parents. He proudly bought them a new house! As for himself, the running back bought a white Corvette Stingray worth $60,000. This chic sports car matches the personality of the young football superstar – a standout athlete with superb strength.

Marcell Dareus – Ferrari F430, Estimated $280K

Marcell Dareus drives a car that looks to be 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧e by golden coins for its customized gold rims.  He is flamboyant like that, and it’s not a regular car you’d see just anywhere.

It’s called the “Fur-rari,” apparently because it’s exterior is wrapped in red velvet. You certainly cannot accuse the guy of being inconspicuous, but why should he be? The defense tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars owns a gorgeous red Ferrari F430 worth $280,000. That’s not something you’d like to keep in the background. This luxury vehicle features a custom JL Audio system, which is controlled by an iPad mini.

Julio Jones, the wide receiver of the Atlanta Falcons, has an impressive spread of property on Camp Branch Road in Atlanta. If he’s not out competing with his team, he pampers himself in a home that boasts 7 bedrooms, 9 baths, heated floors, a home gym, and an entertainment room.

Julio Jones is only 28 years old. He is fast and strong, a young man with a very bright future in the NFL. At this point in his career, he is estimated to be worth over $25 million, and he’s in a position to earn even more down the line.

He likes big houses, a symbol of power and position in society. The wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons has a strong liking for posh cars, too. In fact, Julio Jones is a proud owner of a customized crisp white Ferrari 458 Spider, accentuated with red rims and a red stallion worth $270,000.

The former tight end of the Denver Broncos & San Francisco 49ers owns a custom jet-black Ford F150 truck, 2 white Escalades, a Mercedes Benz S63, a Porsche Panamera, and a $200,000 Bentley Continental GT Convertible. One of the special features of his car collection is the advanced anti-theft security system.

His very first was the white Lamborghini Murciélago, and then there’s the custom 2014 Lamborghini Aventador, that matches his team’s colors, in fierce orange and brown.

Jason Taylor has dedicated 15 years of his life competing in the NFL, mainly for the Miami Dolphins. He is a former defensive end and outside linebacker. His many achievements include being seventh on the all-time career sack list, with a total of 139.5.

During his tenure with the league, Taylor was able to grow his bank account to bulging proportions, which allowed him to purchase such a magnificent mansion as the one he currently owns, in Rancho Santa Fe. The estimate of his property’s value comes in at a whopping $4.5 million. It has 8 baths and a library, where he studies to improve himself. For recreation, the sprawling estate has a poker and billiard-game room. It also boasts 7 bedrooms, a wine cellar, and an infinity pool.

Josh Freeman – Tampa, Estimated $2 Million

Before becoming a free agent, Josh Freeman had transferred from one team to another, continually uncertain, wondering what the future would hold for him. He was a quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Brooklyn Bolts.

It would not be surprising if his free agent status would hurt him financially before landing a new contract. This means that his Tampa estate, worth $2 million, could top the list of prime properties up for sale sooner than expected. It has 6 bedrooms, 5 baths, a home cinema, a spa, and a huge pool, all in a 5,837 sq. ft. home.

Kyle Long – Lake Forest, Estimated $2.5 Million

The Chicago Bears’ guard has been playing for his team since he joined the NFL. At 30 years of age, he is proud to say that he now owns a beautiful mansion, a product of pure hard work and commitment, quietly settled in Lake Forest.

It is a 6,238-square-foot estate, a Georgian-style house that is worth $2.5 million with 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, 4 fireplaces, a home theater, and a library. Just outside of his home lies a heated swimming pool to dip in and relax after training and competition, that can be way too physical at times.

Mario Williams – Buffalo, Estimated $3 Million

When Mario Williams shifted from a defensive end for the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills to being a free agent, he also decided to put his Buffalo mansion on the market. It is a classic insulation against an uncertain future, which often proves wise, even if a bit expected.

Williams’ 13,189 square foot estate offers 5 bedrooms, 7 baths and a chic vintage library. It may be something too precious to let go of for now, but certain decisions have to be made, and Mario Williams has that sagacious capacity, typical of men who bounce back stronger.

Cam Newton – Charlotte, Estimated $1.6 Million

Cam Newton finds himself in a win-win situation. First, he seems to be having the time of his life playing for the Carolina Panthers as the team’s quarterback, and then, he seems to enjoy life without fretting too much over the challenges that lie before him.

Now he has secured a $1.6 million condo for himself, that is just within the Trust Building, complete with an advanced security system. Also, the modern haven has an impressive space of more than 3,200 square feet that includes 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, wooden floors and a rooftop pool.

Antonio Gates – Poway, Estimated $2.5 Million

Selected into the Pro-Bowl 8 times, and a 5-time All-Pro, the NFL has expanded Antonio Gates’ interests and views – and purchasing power. So much so that the tight end for the Los Angeles Chargers decided he needs a bigger place to live, in comparison to his old residence.

His $2.5-million estate in Poway, California is 6,800 square feet with 5 bedrooms, 7 baths, an oversized kitchen, an entertainment room, a library, two offices, and a basketball court.

Joe Montana – San Francisco’s Marina District, Estimated $2.7 Million

The real estate business is supposedly a safe way to invest your money, as real property value is almost always expected to grow in time. NFL legend Joe Montana thought so, too, and was quick to purchase large properties when the opportunity presented itself. However, reselling them turned out poorly. His Napa property suffered a steep drop, for example, from $50 million to $35 million.

Joe Montana remains optimistic, and continues to invest in properties, like one in the San Francisco’s Marina District that is estimated at $2.7 million. It isn’t for sale, but when he decides to, he hopes to double its original value.

Troy Polamalu – La Jolla, Estimated $4.7 Million

Troy Polamalu played for the Pittsburgh Steelers all throughout his NFL career as a strong safety, which accounts for a total of 11 years. His relationship with the team was deemed ‘made in heaven’ from the very beginning, and he has kept his gorgeous digs from those days to remind him of the good times.

The team rewarded him with a hefty paycheck, which he used to buy a brand new mansion, located in La Jolla, California. It is estimated to be worth $4.75 million.

Charles Woodson – Orlando, Estimated $3.6 Million

The Oakland Raiders and the Green Bay Packers were both lucky enough to have Charles Woodson play for them as their cornerback and safety. Woodson was a vital part in his former teams’ success, and had amassed a huge fortune in the process.

Considered to be one of the most decorated football players in the sport, Woodson is enjoying his downtime thanks to his lavish 8,000 square foot home, that sits on three acres of land in California. His $3.65 million mansion features 5 bedrooms, 6 baths, a pool, a gym, a home cinema, and a basketball court.

Chad Pennington – Southwest Ranches, Estimated $3.3 Million

Chad Pennington acquired his large estate in the Southwest Ranches way back in 2008, and it looks like he’s going to be staying there for a long time. This purchase dates back to when he was still a quarterback for the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins, and earning millions.

Home is where the heart is, and Pennington seems to have found true love in his mansion, estimated to be worth $3.3 million. It includes 6 bedrooms, 6 baths, a movie theater, a barbecue area, a swimming pool, and a garage that can hold four cars.

Shaun O’Hara – New Jersey, Estimated $2.7 Million

Part of the challenges pro athletes go through in their careers is being continually apart from their families. Along with the traveling, of course, are the rigors of the sport, and the lurking danger that anything can happen during a given match.

So when Shaun O’Hara, the former offensive lineman and center for the New York Giants, decided to call it a career, he made sure that his time with his family and their comfort was his top priority. That intention has been fulfilled through the purchase of his New Jersey mansion, that is estimated at $2.7 million. It has 6 bedrooms, 8 baths, a library, a wet bar, spa, a stone fireplace, a balcony, and a blue-stone porch. Now, that’s perfect for catching up.

Michael Turner – Georgia, Estimated $2.3 Million

When you’re as good a football player as Michael Turner, the former running back of the Atlanta Falcons and the San Diego Chargers, you’re often guaranteed a fat paycheck.

That’s why Turner invested his huge earnings in what would become his relaxing haven. His $2.3-million country home in Gwinnett County spells relaxation and excitement, thanks to its amazing features, like nine bathrooms, six bedrooms, a full bar, six fireplaces, a library, four garages, a home theater and a hot tub.

Cortland Finnegan – Brentwood, Estimated $3 Million

Despite the many team transfers, from the Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers, and the Tennessee Titans, Cortland Finnegan has, somewhat out of character, stayed loyal to his Brentwood Home. His last stint with the Dolphins was somewhat lackadaisical, and he was quickly released a year later, totaling 44 tackles with no interceptions. He announced his retirement after that.

But the former corner-back made sure he had his investments covered. He bought this property for an estimated $3 million, and has lived there happily ever since. It is a 2-story mansion that sprawls over 6,693 square feet of living space.

Marion Barber – Chevrolet Impala, Estimated $35K

After serving the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears as a dependable running back, Marion Barber thought of giving something back to himself as a reward, a sort of motivating factor. So he decided to buy a vintage car worthy of his endeavors: a 1971 Chevrolet Impala kept in pristine condition.

Barber sealed the deal for the classic automobile and had it customized straightaway in honor of his previous teams. It flashes the colors yellow and orange, with a price tag of $35k. Each time he rolls with it, the gold rims sparkle like coins out of a treasure chest.

Earl Thomas – Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, Estimated $250K

As a draft analyst for the NFL network, Michael Mayock praised Earl Thomas who, in his personal assessment, was the most instinctive free safety he’s ever observed on tape over the last five to six years. He made valuable contributions to the team as a rookie, on their way to the Seahawks’ first Super Bowl victory.

It’s been 8 years since Thomas was drafted, and so many things have changed for him since.  For instance, he now has an extensive collection of luxury cars, which includes a Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Chevy Camaro, and his pride – a $250K Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster. Life has certainly changed for the best.

Aaron Rodgers – Chevrolet Camaro, Estimated $35K

Green Bay Packers‘ quarterback Aaron Rodgers is way cooler than we thought. After starting his career, mainly as a backup to Brett Favre, he has finally put himself in the front seat, now leading the NFL as its all-time regular season career passer-rating leader.

Rodgers has a penchant for fast cars. This is manifested by his ownership of a custom 2011 Chevrolet Camaro. The regal ride of the NFL star features a modern entertainment system, a navigation system, and a top of the line security system. Of course, he wouldn’t forget his team’s logo on the back, for inspiration.

Reggie Bush – Los Angeles, Estimated $5.7 Million

The former running back for the New Orleans Saints had a very successful career in the NFL, and along with it came a fortune large enough to keep him set for life. Reggie Bush’s credit must be highly rated by his banks, but it doesn’t seem like that’s how he wants to transact when he procures properties. He didn’t need a mortgage, nor did he consider one.

When he bought this grand property in Los Angeles, with an estimated value of $5.7 million, he had no qualms regarding loans or insurance payments whatsoever. He acquired the 4,831-square-foot-mansion in 2007 with ease.

Adam Podlesh – Illinois, Estimated $880K

Adam Podlesh is an overall standout athlete. The former American football punter for the Chicago Bears also holds a track and field record from his high school days in the Pittsburgh Sutherland High School. He only played in the NFL from 2007 to 2014, though.

Alamy Stock Photo

Podlesh got a great deal in acquiring his Illinois home in 2011, sealing the sale for only $797.5K.  This lavish pad features 5 bedrooms, a family room with a fireplace, a media room, a gym, and much more. Later on, he sold it for $900,000, making a quick return on his investment.

Dwight Freeney – Indiana, Estimated $1.9 Million

This defensive end/linebacker did not wait too long to celebrate upon signing his first contract with the NFL. After concluding a deal with the Indiana Colts, Dwight Freeney’s list of priorities included purchasing an estate in Indiana for an estimated $1.9 million.

Alamy Stock Photo

However, when the Colts had finally decided to let him go after a decade of partnership, Freeney decided to put this luxurious property up for sale. The 10,000 sq. foot property is still up for grabs, a cool choice if you’re the type who likes modern designs for a home.

Patrick Peterson – Chevrolet Camaro, Estimated $25K

Patrick Peterson loves to collect cars, but not just any cars. The corner-back for the Arizona Cardinals has got a definite thing for the Chevrolet Camaro, and saying that he likes them would be quite an understatement. He’s downright passionate about them!

He owns not just one or two of the 𝓈ℯ𝓍y beast of a vehicle, but ten! And each one cost him an estimated $25k. His very first Camaro was painted in honor of his team’s colors – red and black.  Chevrolet must be exceedingly pleased with this incredible collection of their fleet. We wouldn’t be surprised if he became the car’s brand ambassador one day.

Jared Allen – Arizona, Estimated $3.5 Million

The former defensive end for the Chicago Bears is a five-time Pro-Bowl and four-time All-Pro selection. He played in the NFL for twelve years, and during that period, like his peers, had made handsome property acquisitions.

Alamy Stock Photo

Unfortunately, Jared Allen is one of those who could have greatly benefited from hiring a financial adviser to protect his hefty investments. He is the former owner of an Arizona property worth $3.5 million. By the time he decided to put it up for sale, he was able to scoop a relatively meager price of only $1.6 million.

Matthew Stafford – Atlanta, Estimated $3.9 Million

If you’re keen on buying a piece of real estate formerly owned by one of your favorite NFL stars, check out the Atlanta Mansion of the Detroit Lions’ quarterback, Matthew Stafford. The lavish house has an expensive price tag of $3.9-million, boasting 8 bedrooms, 11 baths, a theater, and a huge pool with a wet bar.

Getty Images Photo by Aaron J. Thornton

Stafford has decided to sell this property, but this isn’t necessarily a sad story. The NFL star is not letting go of it to pay off a nagging debt, nor are there any signs of financial duress for the league’s highest paid athlete.

Lance Briggs – Arizona, Estimated $2.7 Million

Straight from Arizona College, Lance Briggs signed up to play for the Chicago Bears as a linebacker and then spent his whole 12-year career with the team. During his tenure in the NFL, Briggs presumably lived a life of luxury and affluence, which may be the reason behind his minimal regard for financial investments.

Consider yourself lucky if you snap a deal with Lance Briggs’ Arizona property. That is because the linebacker for the Chicago Bears is selling his lavish estate for less than what he should get.  Listed at $2.4-million, Briggs’ mansion includes a gourmet kitchen, a wet bar, and a resort-like backyard.

Michael Oher – BMW 7-Series, Estimated $81K

Michael Oher was featured in the award-winning film ‘The Blind Side’. His high school life and freshman year of college were the subject of Michael Lewis’s book, on which the film was based. He has quite the personality. He is popular; in fact, he is considered one of the biggest names in Super Bowl. The American football offensive tackle is now a free agent, but he has previously played with the Tennessee Titans, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Carolina Panthers.

Alamy Stock Photo

His sports s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s made him popular and earned him an incredible fortune. Oher is the proud owner of a BMW 7-Series, worth $81,000. Note that a luxury car like Oher’s has expensive insurance, too.
