The resemblance is kind of uncanny…
We’ve all been told that we look like someone that we don’t, but the theories surrounding who Anne Hathaway’s husband resembles could easily be true.
The Princess Diaries actress wed Adam Shulman in 2012 after four years of dating, and the pair look like they’ve been smitten ever since.
The celebrity couple share two sons: Jonathan, seven, and three-year-old Jack.
Hathaway rarely speaks about her private life but was hit with a question by Drew Barrymore about some theories surrounding Shulman.

The actress-turned-TV host explained that she had recently been to see & Juliet, a play about what would have happened to Juliet had she not taken her own life alongside Romeo.
According to Barrymore, the play takes a lot of its influence from William Shakespeare’s wife, who was coincidentally named Anne Hathaway.
“Then I did a little digging,” Barrymore continued to share. “There’s a conspiracy theory about your husband […] that he might be William Shakespeare reincarnated.”
The show then proceeded to show two side-by-side images of Shakespeare and Shulman and, well, you can’t deny that there is some resemblance there.

Hathaway responded: “It’s kinda’ nuts, right?”
She added: “It would be great if it were true, but even if it’s not, it’s still kinda’ great.”
The Love & Other Drugs actress continued to share in the interview from December 2023 that she and Shulman had just celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary.
Further giving some insight into her 15-year-long romance with Shulman, Hathaway revealed that their second date was at one of Barrymore’s Halloween parties.

When asked what keeps their marriage strong, the 41-year-old explained: “We’re just really lucky that we keep growing together.
“But, we have this thing – we actually have a tattoo – and it’s the idea that individually we’re whole, but together we’re more.
“So I think it’s just that thing that I don’t expect him to complete me, and I don’t think he expects me to complete him. […] We choose to be together because we make each other better.”
