Work is officially about to start on Emma Stone’s new movie with Austin Butler, Eddington.
The Poor Things and Dune: Part Two stars are among the cast now confirmed for Beau Is Afraid director Ari Aster’s new project, which has confirmed filming will start this week.
Studio A24 shared the exciting news on Twitter/X with a picture showing a clapperboard in the middle of a desert.

The wider cast includes The Last of Us’ Pedro Pascal, Beau Is Afraid’s Joaquin Phoenix, Yellowstone’s Luke Grimes, Daredevil’s Deirdre O’Connell, Empire of Light’s Micheal Ward and Red, White & Royal Blue’s Clifton Collins Jr.
While larger plot details are under wraps, we do know the movie will follow a small-town New Mexico sheriff who has lofty aspirations.
The news comes in a big week for Stone, who took home her second Oscar over the weekend for her role in Poor Things.

After winning the Best Actress in a Leading Role gong, the star declared: “This is very overwhelming. My voice is also a little gone, whatever!”
After thanking her fellow nominees, the star said of her Poor Things crew: “It’s not about me, it’s about a team that came together to make something greater than the sum of its parts.”
Sharing her gratitude to “every crew member” and all those involved in the production, Stone added: “Thank you for the gift of a lifetime in the role of Bella Baxter.”
The big winner of the night was Oppenheimer, which won seven gongs including Best Picture, Best Director for Christopher Nolan and Best Lead Actor for Cillian Murphy.
