Top Gun: Maverick is the long-awaited sequel to the 1986 classic film Top Gun. Released in 2022, the film once again stars Tom Cruise as the iconic Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, now a seasoned Navy aviator who has stub𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧ly refused to be promoted in order to continue flying.
When Maverick is called back to the elite Top Gun flight school to train a group of young pilots for a specialized mission, he must confront his past and his own demons. Among the new recruits is Lt. As Maverick takes Rooster and the others through intense training exercises, he is forced to wrestle with guilt over Goose’s death and his complex relationship with Rooster. At the same time, he must prepare the team for a dangerous mission with seemingly impossible odds.
