How much does the $18,000,000 bonus add to Jon Rahm’s 2024 season earnings?

Jon Rahm earned around $22 million on Sunday, September 15, after winning the LIV Golf Chicago event and the individual championship. He was awarded $4 million in prize money for winning the Chicago event and $18 million for the individual championship, taking his total earnings this season above the $38 million mark.

From LIV Golf, he has earned approximately $37.9 million (via Golf Digest) and $509,033 from competing in Majors (via Golf Monthly). Rahm has pocketed $34,738,154 from all the individual LIV Golf events (via Golf Monthly), and Saudi Circuit players are awarded additional prizes if their team finishes in the top 3 in the event.

Rahm’s team, Legion XIII, has recorded four wins this season, including Mayakoba, Miami, Nashville, and the UK event. The team finished third at the Greenbrier event and were runners-up at the Chicago event.

In the LIV Golf team event, the four players of the team share the prize money awarded for the finishes. The winning team received $3 million in prize money, followed by $1.5 million for second place and $500,000 for third place.

A recap of Jon Rahm’s 2023 earnings

Last season, Jon Rahm competed on the PGA Tour and had an incredible season. He secured four wins on the circuit and recorded two runner-up finishes. He also recorded 10 finishes in the top-10. According to the official website of the PGA Tour, the Spaniard earned $16.5 million in official prize money.

He won the Sentry 2023 and pocketed $2.7 million in prize money, then earned $1.4 million for winning the American Express 2023. He also clinched the trophy at The Genesis Invitational, earning $3.6 million, and $3.2 million from winning the Masters. After his successful season on the PGA Tour, Rahm signed a contract with LIV Golf in December.

He signed a massive contract, but the exact amount is still unknown. Early reports claimed that he signed a contract worth more than $500 million (via Sporting News). However, ESPN later reported that his signing contract was worth around $300 million.
