‘Kendrick Lamar’ Terence Crawford ALMOST gets into fight at Canelo Alvarez fight before UFC debacle

Undefeated boxing star, Terence Crawford gets into a verbal altercation with Teofimo Lopez at the Canelo Alvarez fight event.

On September 14th, two major combat sports events clashed. The Canelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga fight card took place at the same time as the Noche UFC event. Notable figures, including boxing star Terence Crawford, attended both events. Interestingly, Crawford’s presence at both events quickly became a trending topic.

Before UFC broadcast made a major blunder at The Sphere, Terence Crawford was also a part of another headline-worthy event. However, as it seems, he got into a fiasco there as well. In a recent viral clip, several public cameras caught Crawford getting himself into an altercation with another boxing star, Teofimo Lopez.

The verbal altercation escalated. As such, they were on the brink of hitting each other. However, the security personnel quickly intervened to neutralize the situation. Interestingly, both Crawford and Lopez have not been best friends for a long time now. The 27-year-old’s deliberate push for a fight against ‘Bud’ is an evident reason for that. To pursue that, Lopez has always passed brutal comments against Crawford.

As for Terence Crawford, he has always kept his calm by not reacting much to it. However, this was not the case in the highly buzzed Canelo vs. Berlanga fight night. Interestingly, following that, Crawford visited the Saudi GEA-funded Noche UFC event. Bud met his excellency Turki Alalshikh there and enjoyed the MMA show. However, there was one instance at the UFC event, when Crawford went live to issue a challenge to Canelo Alvarez.

Canelo Alvarez dominantly won against his Puerto Rican opponent Edgar Berlanga. Following that, Terence Crawford seemed to raise questions about a potential fight against the Mexican boxer again. This comes after his excellency Turki Alalshikh’s wish to see these two top boxers fight. Interestingly, Canelo has often rejected this proposal.

After Alvarez rejected the opportunity, a conflict arose between Alalshikh and the Mexican boxer. However, following the Mexican’s recent victory, the Saudi Delegate considered revisiting the idea of a Canelo vs. Crawford matchup. The delegate joined Bud’s Instagram live session to discuss it, and Crawford emphasized that it could be the biggest fight in boxing history.

Interestingly, Crawford has always considered a fight against Canelo. As such, in one instance, he even talked about how that fight would be a big payday for both boxers. However, now it remains to be seen when this fight will materialize. As for Canelo, he gave no reactions to the callout till now. Moreover, with both fighters coming off a win, it might be the best potential for both boxers now.
