Tesla Cybertruck stuck in a small lake, Elon Musk ‘lost points’ for virtual statement

This isn’t the first time the Cybertruck has had trouble with water. It has broken down while driving through a puddle, gotten stuck while trying to ford a river, and even had trouble at a car wash.

Elon Musk is known for making bold claims about the Cybertruck’s capabilities, from surviving the apocalypse to temporarily acting as a boat if the world floods. However, a new video has cast doubt on the Cybertruck’s capabilities, with the vehicle getting stuck on the shores of Lake Malé Košariská in Slovakia.

The Cybertruck involved in the incident is believed to be the first to appear in Slovakia. According to the Slovak Spectator , the vehicle was used to provide test rides for Tesla fans there. To demonstrate the Cybertruck’s superior capabilities, the driver decided to drive it into the Malé Košariská lake, about a 20-minute drive from the capital Bratislava.

The lake is a popular summertime swimming spot, so it seemed like the perfect place to test Musk’s claim that the Cybertruck could “transform into a boat.” But things didn’t go as planned when the vehicle’s wheels began to sink.

The Tesla electric car got stuck in the loose gravel at the bottom of the lake, its wheels spinning continuously but unable to generate enough traction to get out of the water. Videos posted on social media showed the Cybertruck trying to “escape” the lake several times but failing.

Eventually, the truck needed help from bystanders. They waded into the water and pushed the giant vehicle away from the shore. According to the Slovak Spectator , “several people had to help support the vehicle, digging gravel, placing wooden planks under the wheels and pushing the vehicle from behind.”

Despite Elon Musk’s claims about the Cybertruck’s extraordinary capabilities, the Malé Košariská incident shows that there are still many limitations when it comes to the vehicle’s handling in water. However, these incidents are also part of the testing and improvement process. In the future, Tesla may find a solution to these problems and bring the Cybertruck closer to Musk’s ambitious claims.
