The grand Wembley Stadium in London hosted the highly anticipated ’Battle of Britain’ fight night between Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois. The event surpassed everyone’s expectations with an exquisite end of the night where Dubois demolished Joshua. On top of that, it also achieved a remarkable feat, as revealed by Saudi GEA chairman Turki Alalshikh
Before the Joshua vs. Dubois fight, the most recent boxing event at Wembley featured Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte in 2022. Notably, that fight drew an impressive crowd of 94,000. However, it was not as impressive as the recent Joshua and Dubois fight, which broke records. Boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh, who funded the event, revealed the record-breaking numbers after the fight.

Turki Alalshikh is currently one of the frontrunners in the world of combat sports and aims to put out the best shows for the general public. His recent Noche UFC event and grand Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk fight are prime examples of it.
With his recent successful events, he aimed for another memorable show. Interestingly, it broke a significant record rather than just being a memorable show. Although one of the favorites Anthony Joshua couldn’t win the bout, this feat eventually enlightened his mood.

The record-breaking show hosted several guests. The standout among them was UFC star Conor McGregor, who was seemingly ecstatic after seeing Dubois flatline Joshua. As such, even his clip went viral. Moreover, several other attendees, including Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk, Terence Crawford, and Devin Haney, enjoyed their show.
Wembley Stadium is home to almost every grand event in England. Over the years, it has hosted multiple genres of events, from musical concerts to football world cups. Its massive 90,000 seating capacity makes it the largest stadium in the country. Interestingly, due to its versatility, the top five list of events hosted at Wembley Stadium covers a variety of fields.

The record-breaking Joshua vs. Dubois tops that list with an attendance of 98,128. The second place is held by popular English singer Adele, who drew a crowd of 98,000 during a 2017 concert at Wembley. Following that, the next three spots are occupied by various sporting events.
The 2008 Cardiff City vs. Portsmouth football match ranks third with an attendance of 89,874. After that, the American Football League, also known as the NFL, had an impressive attendance of 86,215 at Wembley, despite the popularity of European football in the country.

The list ends with another grand sporting event, where All Elite Wrestling (AEW) received an impressive footfall of 81,035. Now, coming back to the Joshua vs. Dubois fight, it surpassed everyone’s expectations. With this success, it would be much more interesting to see what would happen if Tyson Fury and AJ fight at Wembley someday.
