All dogs need to be loved and cared for to have a happy life. However, they are often ignored and exposed to horribly unfair, life-threatening treatment.
Ollie-Loo is an adorable little dog who didn’t understand why he was abandoned in a pile of garbage.
The puppy was abandoned on the streets of Detroit.
It was certain that they would come back for him sooner or later, but this did not happen.
Terry Looby is a rescuer from an Animal Welfare Group who was in the neighborhood for a call about another puppy in trouble when she noticed Ollie and knew she had to help him. It was really cold outside, and the poor animal was doing nothing but snuggling carefully in a chair to keep warm.
They are a member of the family. How could they abandon them?
He had obviously not eaten for a few days and was terribly disconcerted. Terry learned his tragic story from the neighbors of the place when he chatted with them.
When the family left, everyone expected them to come back for Ollie in a few minutes, but they never did. They came back to get a puppy that they had left with him, but they didn’t care about the life of the other devoted dog that was waiting for them.
Ollie’s family has been evicted from their home, according to witnesses.
Ollie was even more perplexed when he realized that the puppy had been spared. Anyway, he refused to leave the scene. He wanted to be surrounded by his family’s antiques.
Terri approached him tenderly. It took her a few minutes to gain the puppy’s trust, but before she knew it, she was covering him with kisses as a thank you.
“Come on, man,” I said. You’ll be fine.”
He took him to the vet, where they found out how critical his condition was. Ollie-Loo required extremely expensive surgical treatment, so they had to turn to the networks for help in order to save the life of this charming puppy.
Donations poured in for Ollie as soon as his story went viral. They were able to operate on him and transport him to a temporary home where he received the care he needed to recover.
Ollie’s femur was badly fractured.
He met two little pugs with whom he got along well and demonstrated that he really is a dog with a big heart. His recovery was a total success, and he found a permanent home within a few months, knowing that he would never be forgotten as if he were just another scumbag.
Ollie’s new owner said he was not aware of his stature and acted like a small dog.
