They exist in their own age. On social media on Sunday, Brittany Mahomes gave fans a sweet glimpse at her canines, Steel and Silver, as well as their homages to her best friend Taylor Swift.
The cute puppies were originally featured on Katie’s Kennel’s Instagram Story, which was shared by the pregnant personal trainer. It is assumed that Katie’s Kennel was keeping an eye on the dogs while Patrick and the Kansas City Chiefs were playing the Los Angeles Chargers in California.
The brand posted the adorable photos, which featured Steel and Silver sporting personalized red-and-gold friendship bracelet-inspired collars, with the words “Bark LOUD for the @chiefs.”

The collars are from Kansas City company Boujee Beads n’ Bows; Silver’s custom collar sells for $25, while Steel’s $22 style includes football charms and was actually named after him.
The company also sells the necklaces in KC Current colors, representing the women’s soccer team Brittany co-owns.

Naturally, the friendship bracelets are in the vein of those made famous by Taylor Swift’s admirers during her Eras Tour, when Swifties seized the opportunity to wear their own adorable trinkets in remembrance of the song’s line, “So make the friendship bracelets / take the moment and taste it.”
And because the “Lavender Haze” singer, who is good friends with the Mahomeses and dates Chiefs standout Travis Kelce, has become so associated with the look, fans are often getting personalized versions of the song for everyone in Swiftian circles, including the tight end, quarterback, and even coach Andy Reid.
Although Swift prefers cats over dogs, Kelce has added his own touch to the tradition of friendship bracelets by giving his fiancée a gold and diamond bracelet in the same design for Christmas that features their initials as a “TNT” couple.

As for the pups, Steel, the elder of the two dogs, was actually a Valentine’s Day present from Patrick to Brittany in 2015, when the pair were still in college — and the Sports Illustrated model even named him after the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Younger sister Silver joined the Mahomes family in January 2019.
They often support the Chiefs (and coordinate with the rest of the Mahomes crew) with red-and-gold bandanas.
The family has a thing for metal-themed names, welcoming daughter Sterling and son Patrick “Bronze” Mahomes III in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
While Brittany is currently pregnant with the pair’s third 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, a daughter, it remains to be seen what metallic name she might receive — but odds are strong the pair could announce it with a custom friendship bracelet.
