Tiger Woods has made a major announcement on his X (formerly Twitter) page, telling his 6.5 million followers that his first-ever course design is going to be made into an actual venue.
The legendary golfer began this project more than a decade ago, and it seems to be finally coming to fruition.
Woods shared a video and said:
“Over a decade ago, I designed my first U.S. course at Bluejack National. I’m excited to announce that @tgrdesignbytw, @BluejackNation, and the Mitchell family are teaming up again to create @BluejackRanch, an exceptional new golf community in Aledo, Texas.”
The reveal took many fans by surprise, some of whom felt that a big announcement from Woods at this time might have been something to do with his lengthy playing career. Others are happy that his dream is being realized and hopeful for what it could mean.
“Thought the retirement was getting announced,” one fan said.
“This could be really cool. Make it affordable and you can get all the members that the city of Fort Worth screwed over with the price hikes!” one exclaimed.
“Wow! Can’t wait to check this out once it’s done! Such HUGE news, congratulations to you and the team,” another added.
“Bluejack is a great looking course just too expensive for most people to join,” one said.
“Will be purchasing property for the goat,” one chimed in.
“Hope first like gets an invite,” another said.
Most fans are particularly excited to see what Woods has in store, but others are seemingly concerned with the costs of getting into what is expected to be a high-end location.

Though this is not the only time Tiger Woods has dabbled in course design, it is technically his first foray into it. He designed the course 10 years ago, and he is finally going to be able to bring it to life.
Former PGA Tour player J.J. Henry, who played with Woods at the 2006 Ryder Cup, praised the development. He said via Golf.com:
“This is an incredible piece of property with dramatic elevation changes and great scenery. This is a very proud moment for it all to come together for something we have been working on for many years.”
Woods has increasingly taken up opportunities to work with golf without playing the sport. He is also helming TGL, a technological-based golf league set to debut in January, along with Rory McIlroy.
Tiger Woods has also opened courses and locations with Justin Timberlake, and has been involved with the Policy Board at times. He has not retired and still maintains a desire to play on the PGA Tour frequently, but he is also working on other things on the side.
