In a post-game interview last night, Patrick Mahomes revealed a little-known fact about teammate Travis Kelce, and it made us giggle. While answering questions on the team’s victory, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback described Kelce’s daring but thrilling lateral ball. The play that Mahomes had called was not this one.
However, that’s precisely what makes Kelce resemble one of his 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.
I’m shaking my head because I told him, “I’ll throw it to you so you can get in field goal range,” before to the play. And he shoveled it underhand over the whole field,” Mahomes remarked.
Comparing Kelce to his 3-year-old daughter, he said, “It’s like I’m talking to Sterling.”
The toddler doesn’t seem to be a good listener either. We hope the tiny cutie’s outbursts are as successful as Kelce’s pass, but it must be quite frustrating for Mahomes and his wife Brittany.
Although Kelce and Sterling Mahomes seem to have similar personalities, we know that Mahomes’ appearance complements that of his one-year-old kid Bronze. Since Bronze is actually his dad’s twin, a picture of an infant Patrick at his mother Randi’s house stopped us cold. The Super Bowl champion felt compelled to issue an apology during the summer, which is one of their most significant similarities.
Mahomes wrote, “Sorry for the hair bro,” over a picture of Bronze’s untamed hair, adding that it “runs in the family.”
Like Kelce and Sterling, Mahomes and Bronze don’t always enjoy listening to their curls. Because they can protrude in all directions, Brittany loves Aunt Jackie’s Leave-In Conditioner for both of her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren. The secret to the kids’ smooth and tame curls when they’re on the NFL sideline is the cult favorite hair product.
During the football season, the two are known for supporting their dad (and Sterling’s brother, Kelce!) while wearing personalized Kansas City Chiefs apparel with their mother. Next season, a third Mahomes 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 will be in the family box! Over the summer, Brittany and Patrick announced Baby No. 3 was on the way. Soon after, Mahomes said this 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 would officially complete their family.
“I’m done. I’ll say that,” he joked when asked about expanding his family. “I said three and I’m done.”
