Disney’s Cruella 2 is officially in production, with Emma Stone reprising her role as the mischievous and stylish villain.
Directed by Craig Gillespie, the sequel picks up where the 2021 hit left off, delving deeper into Estella’s evolution into the iconic Cruella de Vil. This time, the story explores the high-stakes world of global fashion, with Cruella challenging a rival designer, portrayed by Margot Robbie, in a glamorous yet cutthroat battle for supremacy.
Set against the backdrop of 1980s London, Cruella 2 promises a mix of dark humor, bold visuals, and a ๐๐พ๐๐er soundtrack. New faces join the cast, including Taron Egerton as a rebellious fashion prodigy, while Paul Walter Hauser and Joel Fry return as Cruella’s loyal accomplices, Horace and Jasper.
With its focus on power, betrayal, and ambition, the film aims to expand Cruella’s backstory while paying homage to her origins in 101 Dalmatians. Cruella 2 is slated for release in 2025.
