The book is a thorough and convincing look at McIlroy on and off the course. It goes deep, which is appropriate because there’s so much to McIlroy. Tim is the perfect writer for the task. He’s written a book called Assignment to Hell, about how war correspondents such as Walter Cronkite, Andy Rooney and others covered the war against Nazi Germany. He wrote a book called Satch, Dizzy, and Rapid Robert: The Wild Saga of Interracial Baseball Before Jackie Robinson. Now he’s turned his investigative eye and storytelling abilities to McIlroy and his world.
