The world’s richest man Elon Musk‘s mother is shedding new light on her son’s relationship with President-elect Donald Trump after he went all in for the Republican presidential nominee in the 2024 election.
Maye Musk appeared on Fox Business where she spoke about her son spending so much time with Trump as well as her own experience with the president-elect’s family.
‘They do get along well,’ she said with a laugh of the pair.
Leading up to the election, the tech billionaire actively campaigned for Trump spending time in Pennsylvania and appearing with the president-elect at his rallies while spending some $277 million to help him get elected.
Since Trump’s victory, Musk has been a fixture at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, has appeared with the president-elect at a series of events and even sat next to him at Thanksgiving.
‘The funny thing is at the Thanksgiving dinner, Barron and Elon were talking planets. He’s 18-years-old. They were discussing all the different planets and why mars is the best place to start a new civilization,’ Musk shared about her son and Trump’s youngest son.
She said she was also very impressed with the youngest Trump.
‘Trump just likes someone he can completely trust who doesn’t have any alternative motives,’ she claimed of their relationship.

Maye herself has also been popping up at Trump events. She called the president-elect’s family delightful, kind and interesting and said she is looking forward to spending more time with incoming First Lady Melania.
She argued Trump wants things to be open and honest, and he is ‘not going to be mean to people.’
During the interview, the 76-year-old shared more on her son and her own shift toward the right.
‘Biden and the White House either just kept on either ignoring, or investigating or suing Elon and his companies,’ she said.
‘That made me very angry because he’s just trying to do good,’ she went on. ‘They’re doing everything to put obstacles in his way.’
‘I was so angry before the election, and now I just feel like the whole world has opened up for not only America but definitely for the world,’ she gushed. ‘There’s so much more happiness.’

Her son is now being tapped by Trump to co-head a new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with Vivek Ramaswamy.
The move has raised concerns over conflicts of interest for the billionaire as he could be working to cut the very agencies that have regulated his own business ventures while he also benefits from government contracts.
Cavuto asked the older Musk what she makes of the accusations that Musk will use his position in the Trump administration to benefit his own business interests.
‘I think I’ve been hearing that from the legacy media or what I call the dishonest media for 15 years, so obviously nobody’s listening or he wouldn’t be doing this well,’ she claimed.

Cavuto asked when the Musks decided to get behind Trump’s political campaign.
‘Well I don’t know when Elon made the change, but I must say when the Twitter files came out, and we found that the FBI was paying millions to Twitter to remove Republicans from this site which we didn’t realize was a Democratic site,’ she said.
Those remarks stem from misleading statements by the tech billionaire and others who have claimed payments had to do with censorship when law requires the government reimburse companies for requests for content, records and other information.
