Erik ten Hag ‘ready to speak to Axel Disasi’ and other Manchester United transfer rumours

Monaco’s Axel Disasi is reportedly highly thought of by Man United manager Erik ten Hag as he looks to strengthen his defence

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly ready to sit down with Monaco’s Axel Disasi to discuss a move to Old Trafford.

According to RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Ten Hag is keen on bringing Disasi to England this summer. It is claimed the French international is set to leave Monaco this summer in search of a new challenge.

The 25-year-old was a standout player for the Ligue 1 club last season having made 49 appearances in all competitions. His stats in front of goal have also been impressive, scoring six and notching four assists over the course of the campaign.

L’Équipe reported earlier this month about Disasi’s hope of moving to the Premier League and specifically United. MEN Sport understands defence is a position where the Reds are hoping to strengthen this summer with a centre-back on the list of target areas.

Elsewhere, L’Equipe understands United are set to battle it out with Bayern Munich for Randal Kolo Muani’s signature. The Frenchman enjoyed a brilliant debut campaign with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, scoring 23 goals in all competitions.

The German club value Kolo Muani at £85m and are in a strong negotiating position because the striker is still contracted until 2027. Manchester Evening News understands Ten Hag wants to buy two forwards this summer.

Harry Kane was singled out as the Reds’ top transfer target ahead of the new season but there is concern chairman Daniel Levy will not sell. However, Kolo Muani is another player who interests the United boss thanks to his superb campaign.

It is claimed the 24-year-old striker is looking for a new challenge already after featuring at the World Cup in Qatar last winter.
