According to Kevin Durant, He Is The Most Coachable And Egoless Player In Sports: “You’ve Been Brainwashed”

Kevin Durant has spent a lot of time this offseason engaging in back-and-forths with NBA fans on Twitter. He has been firing some shots at Brooklyn Nets fans and roasted users in a Twitter Space who claimed he isn’t a top-five player.

One of his latest Twitter interactions came with an individual who felt KD left the Golden State Warriors because his ego got in the way. Durant completely disagreed with the fan as he made a bold claim about himself.

“I’m the most egoless and coachable player in sports. You’ve been brainwashed”

While fans would certainly disagree with Durant on the egoless part, there does seem to be some truth to it. Amar’e Stoudemire, who was an assistant on the Nets for two seasons, once claimed that KD is an egoless player.

You’d have to say he’s been pretty coachable, too, as the only time he really seemed to have an issue with his coach at any point in his career, was with Steve Nash. Even then, it seemed more like a ploy on his part to get the Nets to trade him, rather than him having a major issue with Nash.

When you also consider the fact that he can fit into just about any offensive system, it does make him one of the more coachable stars around. Is he the most egoless and coachable, though? Probably not.

Kevin Durant Revealed Why He Only Responds To Haters On Twitter

Durant gets an awful lot of criticism on social media, whether it be for joining the Warriors or for how his tenure with the Nets panned out, but he does get a lot of love too.

He has become quite the polarizing figure, but Durant almost never responds to those who are praising him. When asked why that was the case, KD stated that hate drives him and that too much love can 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 someone.

There are plenty who live their life like that, and if it really drives him, then so be it. All the Twitter interactions are certainly not hurting his play on the court, as Durant averaged 29.1 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 5.0 APG, 0.7 SPG, and 1.4 BPG last season.
