Kepa Arrizabalaga – Could do little against a good penalty and perhaps could have had more authority in some moments but fairly steady. 5.
Malo Gusto – Solid second period outing before being replaced after 71 minutes. 6.
Trevoh Chalobah – Featured both in the centre and on the right of defence and looked solid. 7.
Levi Colwill – Showed he could defend a bit too with a brilliant tackle on Joao Pedro but gave away the penalty by fouling the same person later in the half. 5.
Marc Cucurella – Decent outing from the full back and provided the pass that sent Nicolas Jackson through for his goal. Tucked in when Colwill went off. 6.
Andrey Santos – Showed his combatitive nature once again before coming off at the hour mark. 6.
Conor Gallagher – Produced a brilliant block to deny a big Brighton chance in the second period before scoring his second goal in as many games. 6.
Cesare Casdei – Drew the foul that saw Jan Paul van Hecke sent off, and showed his ability to run with the ball once again and to challenge the opposition box. 6.
Raheem Sterling – Struggled to create a serious opportunity before being replaced. 5.
Christopher Nkunku – Continued in the same fashion as the first half. 6.
Mykhailo Mudryk – Fantastic goal from the Ukraine international after combining with Nicolas Jackson. Brilliant strike and pace was always a threat. 7.
Enzo Fernandez – Became a leading presence in the centre of the pitch when he entered the fray. 6.
Angelo Gabriel – Did not have quite the same impact as he did against Wrexham but was solid enough on the right. 6.
Nicolas Jackson – Wasted no time in getting involved in Chelsea’s benefit and produced an impressive interchange with Mudryk ahead of the latter’s goal. Provided a poke through to Gallagher for the midfielder to finish. 9.
Bashir Humphreys – Another solid outing for the defender. 6.
